About the event
The Justice League of Greater Lansing Michigan (JLGLM) cordially invites you to join us for a special gathering as we introduce our 2026 Business Growth Grants initiative.
Founded in 2021, the Justice League of Greater Lansing Michigan exists to address the lasting harms of slavery and its aftermath by advancing racial justice through reparative action. Guided by our vision of building the Beloved Community, we seek to strengthen Black-owned businesses as an essential part of creating lasting economic opportunity and community prosperity.
At this meeting we will:
Introduce the mission and vision of the Justice League of Greater Lansing Michigan and share how our Reparations Project aims to support Black economic advancement.
Engage in a Business Owners Roundtable, where we will gather insights and recommendations from experienced Black entrepreneurs to help maximize the impact of these grants and strengthen future investments in our business community.
Introduce the 2026 Business Growth Grants, including eligibility requirements, the application process, funding timeline, and grant awards. Through this initiative, four qualifying African American-owned businesses that have operated for at least three years will each receive a $11,250 Business Growth Grant to support business infrastructure, marketing, innovation, and other strategic growth opportunities.
Your experience, perspective, and leadership are invaluable. We hope you will join us as we celebrate this important investment in Black entrepreneurship and collaborate on strategies that will foster sustainable business growth throughout the Greater Lansing community.
