About the event
The Community of Christ Michigan Congregations and Community Social Justice Team would like to invite you to an educational opportunity to learn about reparations for African Americans.
Founder and Vice President Willye Bryan and Co-Founder and President Prince Solace will share their work to “repair the breach” caused by the nation’s historical damage of slavery, its aftermath of gross human rights violations — including genocide, violence, land theft, incarceration and police violence — and complicity in the misbelief of white supremacy. They will share how the Justice League is addressing the racial wealth gap, is gaining the support of churches, and why it is important.
The Justice League of Greater Lansing Michigan aims to address the impact of slavery, fostering relationships and reparations to boost wealth equity for African Americans in Lansing.
Come share with us to gain understanding. We know this is a topic that sparks opposition but we only gain understanding as we take in information and knowledge.
Questions are encouraged and respectful discussion is required. We really hope you’ll come share in this presentation as the Justice League is really gaining momentum in Lansing and spreading its model to other locations as well.
